The man found dead by the Russellville Police Department last Friday died of a heart attack, according to chief Victor Shifflett.

Howard Alan Hollway, 50, died in front of his home on the sidewalk at 181 North Breathitt Street in Russellville. His body was sent to Madisonville on Saturday for an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.

“He died of natural causes,” Shifflett said. “He was walking out to his mailbox when he had the heart attack, that’s why he was found on the street.”

Funeral services are planned for Thursday night at 10 a.m. at Price Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
