Deputy Kyler Harvey of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department made a pair of drug arrests this week, with one coming in Lewisburg and the other in Russellville.
On Tuesday, Jan. 19, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to 1320 Stuart Chapel Road in Lewisburg on a drug complaint.
While at the residence, deputies located several items of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, marijuana and a 16-gauge shotgun. As the result of the investigation, 23-year-old Terry J. Ballard of Lewisburg was arrested and charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, promoting of contraband and failure to notify an address change to the department of transportation.
Deputy Kyler Harvey was the arresting officer. He was assisted on the scene by Sgt. Clint Wright, deputy Parker Rowland and deputy Jarrod Lyons.
On Tuesday, Jan. 19, deputy Kyler Harvey of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to 70 Robinson Road in Russellville regarding a disturbance.
Upon his arrival, Harvey made contact with 26-year-old Mark A. Watts of Russellville in a vehicle which was in the recidence’s driveway.
During the investigation, Harvey found a plastic bag which contained methamphetamine. As a result, Watts was arrested and charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
