Man shot in Russellville

The Russellville Police Department was called out to 725 East 2nd Street at approximately 7 p.m. Thursday night for a gunshot wound. When officers arrived they found 21-year-old Terry Bryant shot. Bryant was taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for his injury.

While at the residence, officers noticed a strong odor of marijuana. The South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force arrived at the scene to issue a search warrant. While there, agents located an undisclosed amount of marijuana as well as guns.

Noah Whittinghill, 19, was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces-5 lbs.), possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He is being lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.

The Russellville Police Department is still investigating the gunshot incident.

At approximately 10 p.m., agents with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force secured a search warrant for the residence at 725 East 2nd Street. Upon execution of the search warrant, agents and officers of the Russellville Police Department seized a significant amount of marijuana, digital weighing scales and four firearms from the residence.

Whittinghill, was taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center under charges of trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces to 5 pounds) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Earlier that day, at approximately 4:27 p.m., agents of the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force initiated a traffic stop on a black 1990 Toyota passenger car in Arby’s parking lot. Acting on a consent search of the vehicle, agents recovered illegal drugs and illegal drug paraphernalia from Charles A. White of Russellville, who was the operator.

White was taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center under charges of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to or improper signal and no registration plates.

Assisting at the scene were the Russellville Police Department.
