Get ready Logan County, this year’s “Relay For Life” event is quickly approaching, and if you ever wanted to help find a cure for cancer, then please come out and support this special event. The 2013 Logan County “Relay for Life” is scheduled for Friday, June 6 through Saturday, June 7, at the Logan County High School football field.
Many people come out to help fight against cancer by walking and or running around the track throughout the night. There are numerous activities for those who participate to help keep people entertained, awake and ready to go. There will be lots of different foods and good music provided.
“One of the things is that we are excited about is that we have a full track of teams set up,” said Terrie Lawson of the American Cancer Society. “Sometimes don’t always have a full track, but this year we have a full 30 teams which is the most that we’ve had in several years.”
This year’s Relay also features fireworks at midnight, thanks to a donation from Sylfoni’s Pizza and there will also be a sky lantern launch.
