Howdy, how was your week? We sure have had some beautiful, warmer days, already in the 80s.
Ray Sharp is feeling better. His son Corey is to have surgery this Tuesday the 27th. Hope he does fine.
C.J. Sharp had a birthday the 20th, he was 9. He didn’t have to go to school, as that was Election Day.
Best wishes to all the winners, and oopps, sorry to the losers.
Friday night at Lewisburg School, the class of 1952 was well known as this was their 60 years since graduation. There were 28 graduates that year, now there are only 14 left. There were 26 present. They had special food and a good time. One of the attendees was Glenn Porter and of course Helen went with him. Glad they had a great time.
At church this morning, recognized were the graduates of our church. For kindergarten it was Olivia Atkisson and Drew McLellan. For 8th grade it was Makala Chapman, Ross Coursey, Leah Cross and Amos Parsons. For high school it was Kaitlyn Jernigan and Spencer Parsons. Our best wishes to all, and that they all finish their education.
A special thanks to our service guys, they gave a great part of their lives, in foreign counties and fought in many wars. Of course there were many that lost their lives, and for those families, we known you still miss them, but we are so thankful for those that are back home. We love and thank you.
I had a most enjoyable day Sunday when I got to go to Antioch for their homecoming and got to see and hear the Sneed family. They are good to listen to. They will be at Elk Lick for our homecoming the last Sunday in July. Hope you make plans to attend. I don’t know who will be the speaker of the day.
I hope you had a good Memorial Day. We spent a quiet day.
I’ve been watching a cooking show, so I’m hungry, so that says I’m gonna have to get up and fix something for dinner, so we will see you next time. Have a good week.
