Good Morning “YOU GUYS”! Man, have I been here too long or what. I guess you are wondering what happen to “YOU ALL”. I certainly am enjoying the people here. It just occurred to me I just see people riding by on their boats, I don’t talk to them. It is just a joy to talk to people who have done many things that you haven’t thought of doing YET! You know me; I will try just about anything.
Must tell you about my experience yesterday; I went to a Book Review. A lot of people here have been here over and over again through the years. They were given a list of books last year for them to read during the summer. So, now they are back again and they are sharing these books with the group. Three women selected a book and gave us a great review. One was two brothers who were attorneys but very different. One was the life of a couple who lived in a light house and it told how they acquire a child during their life there. The last one was a love story, about a blind man who could hear the heart beat of people, especially the beat of a young girl who was cripple. After he met her, he carried this young girl on his back; she was his eyes and he was her legs.
This was the most interesting group I have ever been involved in. You can bet I have their reading list for this coming summer. Most of these women are retired teachers; I enjoyed their presentation of each book. I have never attended a book review until now. I decided that I needed to think outside the box; Get myself out of that rut of doing the same old thing over and over. I guess I am one of those people who fish at the lake, love it and have never ventured very far from it. But you can believe this trip has really opened my eyes.
By the way, I almost forgot to tell you that I have received news about the lake and they are beginning to have warmer weather. I really hate everyone had such a difficult winter and I really hate I missed all the excitement when the Geese had such a problem when it froze completely over! You see they really give me a problem all summer long. Everyone has asked the Hubby and me if we are going to come back next year. I had to tell them that I really was not sure. But I hope we do.
I will admit I got a little homesick a few days ago and I told the Hubby I was just about ready to head back home. This means I will have to face all those people that said we were going to have a really bad winter. You see I told them, “NO WAY”! But I will admit to you right now that I will never make any kind of prediction about the weather again. As always, the Hubby wanted to have the last word. He Said “THAT AIN’T GOING TO HAPPEN”! I guess we will just have to wait and see.
To all you book readers out there, check out the “Books to GO” library in Lewisburg and of course the library in Russellville. Ask them if they ever have book reviews. Tell them that Tulip Green sent you.
Till next time enjoy what is left of the winter because before too long we will be complaining about all that hot weather. Almost forgot, hope you are enjoying the moment because I certainly am doing just that! Bye Now!
