A few got a sneak peek at the new Logan County Public Library this week when the library board opened it up for a trial run.
“We are so excited to have people come in a look at the new library,” said Carol Ann Faulkner who works at the library. “I had to bring out the tissue box and set it on the counter. I knew people would be impressed, but I didn’t expect people would cry.”
The library will be open to the public Monday, Feb. 3, and they will be surprised when they walk through the front doors and are greeted with state-of-the-art everything. From two small and one very large meeting room, to a children’s room, cafe and a plethora of computer stations. The new library is more than just a place to check out a book, so much more.
You won’t have a problem finding a parking space, well maybe after the first week or so when everyone has come out to see the new place. Over 100 parking spaces are offered, which is a fresh and very welcomed change from the old building on 6th Street.
