The Russellville Police Department has made an arrest in connection with the robbery that occurred last week in the parking lot of the U.S. Bank.

While the suspected robber remains at large, the RPD arrested Cheryl Blewett of Russellville this week. Blewett has been charged with complicity to commit robbery and filing a false report.

The Russellville Police has also obtained an arrest warrant for the alleged robber, Shawn Tracy Neal of Tennessee.

At approximately noon on Monday, Jan. 13, the RPD received a report of a robbery in progress at the U.S. Bank.

Callers reported that a female gas station employee had been assaulted in the parking lot and a man had stolen a deposit bag from her.

The robber then ran toward South Main Street and an onlooker chased him between residential properties.

The suspect then got into a white Dodge Dakota pickup and fled the scene. Witnesses identified the vehicle, which was recovered by police later that evening.

Blewett allegedly supplied the truck which Neal then used to flee the scene. She had originally reported the truck as stolen before the investigation showed that she was linked to the robbery herself.

The female victim did not sustain any significant injuries during the altercation and the robber was not armed.
