Sarah Kathryn “Katye” Kinser and Cory Michael Smith were united in marriage Sept. 14, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at The Country Plantation in Greenville. Randy Richardson performed the double ringed ceremony with D. Kyle Ashby, brother of the bride, assisting. The bride was give in marriage by her father and mother.
Sarah Kathryn is the daughter of David E. and Sandra F. Kinser of Russellville. Cory Michael is the son of Michael and Jane S. Smith of Crestwood.
The bride wore a strapless ivory gown by Watters Designs. Her shoes were by Badgley Mischka.
Evie S. Ashby of Pacific Grove, Calif., sister-in-law of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Simpson of Lexington, Kristen Grady of Lexington, Elizabeth Zellmer of Columbus, Ohio, and Crystal Macht of Franklin, Tenn., all friends of the bride; Kendra Smith-Wehr of Louisville and Kristen Smith of Minneapolis, Minn., sisters of the groom, and Ashley Smotherman of Russelville, cousin of the bride. Cameron Wallace, cousin of the bride, served as Jr. Bridesmaid. Flower Girls were Emery Grace Ashby, niece of the bride and Harper Wehr and Maya Chismar, nieces of the groom.
The bridal attendants wore Alfred Sung.
Eric Retzlaff of Pittsburgh, Penn., friend of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Aaron Fields of Louisville, Chris Grimm of Lexington and Phil Luckett of Lexington, all friends of the groom, and Scott Wehr of Louisville and Tim Chismar of Minneapolis, Minn., brothers-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Andrew Ford, Cole Freeman, and Greg Coffman, all friends of the groom. Boden Ashby, nephew of the bride, and Grayson Wehr, nephew of the groom, served as Ring Bearers.
A reception was held at The Country Plantation following the outdoor ceremony in the main house. Music was provided by Jimmy and Shirley Davenport.
The couple will reside in Louisville after a honeymoon trip to Key West, Fla.
