Amy Marie Monroe and Ryan Nathan Mimms were united in marriage by Pastor Benedict (Deke) Rigor on July 26, 2013, at Mellwood Art Center, Louisville.
Amy is the daughter of Gary and Judy Monroe, Corydon, Ind. Ryan is the son of Alan and Rose Smith, Lewisburg and David and Yuan Mimms, Adairville.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her matron of honor was Dianna Burkholder. Bridesmaids were Lisa Monroe and Beth Fisher, sisters of the bride, Rachel Stewert, sister of the groom, Kneina Smith and Kristina Carpenter.
The groom’s best man was Jeremy Hasley. Groomsman were Troy Mimms, brother of the groom, Trenton Petty, Drew Millwood, Dan Martin, and Matt Hover.
After the ceremony the reception was held in the ballroom at Mellwood. Fat Box of Bowling Green provided the music.
Amy is a 2002 graduate of North Harrison High School and Indiana University Southeast with a bachelor’s degree in biology and an associate’s degree in chemistry. Amy completed her doctorate of pharmacy in 2013 from Sullivan University College of Pharmacy.
Ryan is the grandson of Ray and Dorothy Carter, Bowling Green, Lou Ellen Mimms, Adairville, the late Ernie Mimms and the late Bill and Rose Murrey, Elkton. He is a 2004 graduate of Logan County High School and 2010 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work.
After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico the couple resides in Louisville.
