It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and feel like it too in our little town of Adairville. Our park is decorated in candy canes and Christmas lights, I drove by Barnes Insurance office the other day and saw Mrs. Shirley Barnes on a ladder putting up Christmas lights. Mrs. Shirley please stay off of that ladder.

431 Grill hosted there first ever Halloween costume contest and the winner of the free meal was Michael Myers.

In case you missed Open House at the Country Angel, be sure to attend this Friday or Saturday, November eighth and ninth at 10am to 5pm. They are offering holiday decor, door prizes, and refreshments, not to mention HUGE markdowns throughout the shop. New items arriving daily, this is the gift shop’s 8th Christmas in Adairville. Now would be the time to get in some early Christmas shopping at tremendous prices.

431 Grill will be having Karaoke on November the 16th from 5-8 p.m., Clay Bilyeu will be hosting

The annual Schochoh Christmas Parade is Sunday December first beginning at 2pm

Anthem Lights, a contemporary Christian band, will be in concert at Calvary General Baptist Church; 117 Traughber Rd.; Adairville on November 8th at 7 pm. This is a free concert. Doors will open at 6:30, a packed house is expected so please get there early.

Activity has been happening at the new antique shop that plans on opening soon, where Tina’s treasures two was located

Marry Ann Davis is back at the hospital with a blood clot in her leg, please get well soon.

Carolyn Hughes is in St. Thomas hospital in Nashville and Ms. Jean Steenbergen is also at St. Thomas in Nashville.

Nannette King came home this week from the hospital in Bowling Green, please keep her and Nannette’s family in your thoughts and prayers.

Jerry Robertson is at North Crest hospital in Springfield Tn. For emergency Gallbladder surgery, I hope you make a speedy recovery.

Nancy Brown Moon a longtime Adairville citizen went to be with the Lord earlier this week, let’s keep the Moon and Brown family in your prayers.

I would personally like to thank everyone that has congratulated me on what a great job I am doing and the ones who keep encouraging me to keep up the good work, I really do appreciate it and if you have anything you would like to add to the paper you would email me. Also I would like to thank Tulip Green for the comment you wrote about me in last week’s article.

My shout out for this week goes to Elaine Blick a cook at 431 Grill, you are an amazing person and an even better friend. You always look for the best in people and you always keep a smile on your face, keep up the good work
