One of Russellville’s most progressive companies will soon be spending $3 million to enhance its already thriving operations, thus providing security to its customers, employees and community alike.
Ron Barbe, general manager of Ventra Plastics, announced the “good news” at Tuesday’s Logan County Fiscal Court meeting.
“We will be adding a 2,300 square foot addition,” said Barbe.
The project will consist of a new lunchroom, refurbished restrooms and new parking spaces. The old lunchroom will be converted into a much needed training room and all bin storage will be moved to the back of the building freeing up additional space.
“We are very excited about this,” said Barbe adding, “We have grown quite a bit.”
In 1992, the company underwent a small expansion and a few years ago added several jobs.
“Business is very strong,” said Barbe, who said that over the next three years the company expects a $9 million dollar increase in revenues.
“We are very proud to be in Logan County. I would put our employees up against any in the 60 plants that are part of the group,” Barbe said.
