I have lived in Auburn for 30 or so years. There are grain bins behind our house that is between Main St. and Park St.
Over the past years there as been not much of a problem with them until now. In the last several months they have been sold to Jamie Summers. He has put in a very loud dryer next to our house with in 100 yards of it. It has not been a dryer on the property for the last 15 years. It is very loud and dusty we here on Park St. cannot go out in our yards or sit on our decks or porches or even raise our windows because of the noise and the dust. This is a violation of our right as a citizen of this town and community.
We cannot sleep at night and the neighbors that have school age children have to move the kids in to the front of there homes to sleep on the couches and in chairs so they can get some sleep to go to school. The stress from the lack of sleep is getting to them and the neighborhood is getting sick from the stress and dust. The noise is so loud it sounds like a train or jet coming though the houses. We have talk to the town government with no help from them to solve this problem. We are going to work and the children are going to school with little or no sleep and rest. we have ask the town government and the EPA and the health department for help with no help received. This is turning into a health problem!
We need help now! We can’t go on much longer with out sleep and rest it is starting to effect our jobs and our children schooling. We are asking for help from anyone that can help. The town government is not going to because they don’t live near the grain bins.
