Greetings from the Antioch Community.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to each one of you.
We had our week of Prayer for International Missions on Friday in the home with Christine White. We also had our Christmas Dinner and our gifts. Those present were Marcie Patterson, Melba Gibbs, Juanita Key, Dolores Harris, Rosie Yarnell, Myrtle Pogue and myself. Visiting with us was Sheila, Harry and Chris Epley. Chris sang a Christmas carol for us, which we enjoyed very much. he is a good singer. Christine isn’t able to get out much, so she enjoyed us being with her.
Myrtle Pogue visited with her neighbor Darlene who had a luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Others attending were Sheroline, Tammy, Sue and Bro. Bart Meyers. This was a meeting from Darlene’s church.
Lorrie Hopper came by to see Myrtle on Friday.
Wilma Pogue and Ann McKinnley came by and got Myrtle and they took a tour to see Christmas lights. Thanks to Ann for taking them out to see the lights. They enjoyed the trip very much.
Melba Gibbs and Sheila Epley did the special at church Sunday morning. They sang, “What Child Is This?” They did good. We always enjoy the specials.
Visiting with Christine White was Shelby, Juley Nelson, Jerry White was there Saturday and brought her lunch and also got her groceries. Jimmy White was there Monday and and brought her supper and Dorothy Henderson was there.
James Fuller and wife Sue are doing better. James went Monday and had some tests run.
I called my cousin Omanell Robertson in Florida. She is about the same.
Today (Tuesday) was the day for Dr. Larry Gotts to be on Feedback. A lot of questions were called in. Hope you enjoyed the program as I did. Dr. Gotts is a very caring doctor. He has time to talk with you, where some are in such a hurry that they don’t fool with you.
he and Don are two very good guys. If you don’t listen to the good Doctor, why not start the new year by listening on each third Tuesday in the month. You can get a lot of free information.
Dolores Harris and Vanessa Price attended a surprise Birthday Party on Saturday for Sheila Epley.
We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give.
Have a good week.
