Regina Faye Kennedy, age 48, of Elkton, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at Logan Memorial Hospital.

She was a Logan County native born Sept. 3, 1969, to Junior J. Higgins and Thelma Latham Higgins.

She was a self-employed contractor and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by her parents, Junior and Thelma Latham Higgins of Elkton, Ky.; her husband, Clifford Kennedy, Sr.; five sons, Shawn Cardwell of Hopkinsville, Ky., Christian Cardwell of Hopkinsville, Ky., Clifford Kennedy, Jr. of Russellville, Ky., Bill Kennedy of Russellville, Ky. and Wes Kennedy of Russellville, Ky.; two daughters, Sarah Cardwell of Hopkinsville, Ky. and Angie Kennedy of Elkton, Ky.; two brothers, Brian Higgins of Clarksville, Tenn. and Gary Higgins of Winter Haven, Fla.; four sisters, Tammy Higgins of Elkton, Ky., Amanda Rees of Elkton, Ky., Melissa Hill of Louisville, Ky. and Tresa Jo Ferguson of Gibson City, I;;., and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Regina Faye Kennedy were conducted Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bishop Gary Sawyers and Clifford Kennedy, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation began at the funeral home Saturday, Dec. 2 from 5-8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 2 pm.

Pallbearers are Clifford Kennedy, Sr., Bill Kennedy, Christian Cardwell, Wes Kennedy, Shawn Cardwell and Clifford Kennedy, Jr.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
