Rebecca Gail Zibart, age 58, of Auburn, passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, in the Medical Center in Bowling Green.

She was born in Logan County on Nov. 16, 1959, to James Harlan “Jimmy” and Rosella Taylor Meguiar.

She is a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church and retired from E. R. Carpenter Company where she worked in customer service.

Rebecca was the best mother, wife, and friend. She always had a smile on her face, and a laugh that was contagious. Rebecca was very courageous during her illnesses, she never gave up, and always kept a great attitude. She is going to be missed so badly by all who knew her.

She is survived by her father and mother, Jimmy and Rosella Meguiar of Auburn; her husband, Robert Zibart of Auburn; two sons, Robert Cody Zibart (Lyndsey) of Lexington and Carson Meguiar Zibart of Auburn; her brother, Ethan Meguiar (Nicole) of Auburn, and her two sisters, Diane Pardue (Dennis) of Auburn and Amy Angel (Brent) of Auburn.

Funeral services for Rebecca Zibart will be conducted Friday, Feb. 9 in the New Friendship Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Bro. Barry Raley officiating. Burial will follow in the New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday, Feb. 8 from 5-8 p.m. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel and Friday, Feb. 9 at the New Friendship Baptist Church from 11 a.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers are: Dale Shields, Alan Simmons, Ty Collins, Gary Madison, Dennis Pardue and Phillip Zibart.

The family has asked that donations be made to the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
