Jean Perry, age 83, of Corinth Oakville Road, Russellville, Ky., passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at Auburn Healthcare.

She was a Logan County native born April 14, 1934, to the late Earl Whitlow and Beulah McPhail Whitlow Thomas. She had a step father, D. A. Thomas that preceded her.

She was a homemaker where raising a garden was her passion. She was one of the first participants in the Logan County Farmers Market. She was a member of Berea Christian Church where she was an active member in all of the planning and participating of activities. Jean especially loved Lord’s Acre Day held each Sunday before Thanksgiving.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Noe Perry; her sister, Dorothy Jenkins; her half-sister, JoAnn Thomas and half-brother, Alvindorn Thomas.

She is survived by two sons, Jack Alan Perry and wife Norma of Adairville, Ky. and Brian Noe Perry and wife Missy of Russellville, Ky.; one half-brother, H.C. Thomas of Oakville, Ky.; three grandchildren, Jacob Brian Perry of Russellville, Ky., Thomas Edwin Perry of Russellville, Ky. and Nehkeya Deen Clifton and husband Shane of Hohenwald, Tenn.; two step-grandchildren, Chris Bellar of Russellville, Ky. and Greg Bellar of Russellville, Ky., and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Clifton and Addison Clifton.

Funeral services for Jean Perry will be conducted Monday, Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. at Berea Christian Church with Rev. Dan Lovell officiating. Burial will follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home began Sunday, Nov. 26 from 3-6 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, Nov. 27 beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until the service hour at 1 p.m.

Pallbearers are Jacob Perry, Winn Perry, Frank Orndorff, Jr., Cindy Huffins, Charley Orndorff, Lindell Ray Jenkins, Matthew Clifton and T.J. Faenza.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Berea Christian Church or the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Research Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
