The regular season is over. The Logan County football team is not accustomed to playing past the final game of the scheduled season. The 2017 Cougar team has ventured into many unaccustomed accomplishments.

Logan County (10-0) is now ranked fifth in the state of Kentucky’s Class 4A. The Associated Press rankings include 83 teams across the state.

The Cougars finish the regular season with 2,164 rushing yards and 1,498 yards through the air. The defense only allowed opponents to score 127 points through ten games which is the best in Class 4A.

The Cougars will host Warren Central (0-10) tonight in the much anticipated first round of the playoffs.

The Panthers of Russellville are ranked at number 11 in Class 1A after posting a (6-4) regular season record. Russellville racked up 1730 yards on the ground during the season to date.

The Panthers will host Fort Knox (3-7) tonight at Rhea Stadium.
