Last season, the Panthers made it all the way to the Fourth Region championship game at Western Kentucky University. Bowling Green got the crown, and also went on the win the state title. Russellville looks for another deep run in the playoffs this season. They are off on the right foot after beating Allen County-Scottsville 53-45 on Friday night.

Rooster Woodard and Jacob Naylor led the charge against the Patriots with 12 points each. Naylor hit two 3-pointers in the game.
