The Logan County High School volleyball team saw its 2017 season come to a close this week in the Fourth Region Tournament, which was hosted by Warren East High School.

The Lady Cougars opened the tournament with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-12) win over Russell County. But then in the semifinals, the Lady Cougars fell to arc-nemesis Greenwood 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-20).

The Lady Gators were scheduled to play their district rival, South Warren, on Thursday for the region title. South Warren advanced to the championship game by knocking off Franklin-Simpson in the semifinals.

Logan County ends the season with a 23-15 record, including a 15th consecutive district title.
