The Russellville Panthers walked onto the soccer field with confidence on Tuesday night. It has been many seasons since a soccer team from Russellville got off to a start like this 2018 team. Going into the Tuesday night Clash of the Cats against Logan County, The Panthers were (3-0-1) on the season.

The Cougars spoiled the fun for Russellville with a 5-1 win at LCHS. It was the first loss of the year for Coach Jeramy Rust and his Panthers.

Logan County scored first in the contest. Nicholas Petrie would finish with three goals in the game. Camden Bond and Dalton Taylor each tacked on a goal during the 5-1 win.

Avery Flener scored the lone goal for the Panthers.

Russellville has scored 23 goals so far in the young 2018 season.

Logan County plays on the road at Fort Campbell on Saturday. Russellville is home against Muhlenberg County on Monday.
