An Adairville woman was arrested last week after she reportedly was trading power tools for drugs.

According to a report from the Logan County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched to a drug complaint at 460 Riverview Drive in Adairville after Sheriff Wallace Whittaker had gotten information that Alta Kay Long, 31, was trading power tools and other items for drugs.

Upon arrival to the scene and after investigation, a search of the residence was conducted and it turned up an assorted amount of drug paraphernalia including five glass pipes used for smoking methamphetamine, a digital scale, three used syringes and several assorted plastic baggies. A further search of the residence found crystal methamphetamine.

Long was then arrested and charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first degree possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to notify the DOT of an address change.

Sergeant Clint Wright of the Logan County Sheriff's Department was the arresting officer. He was assisted on the scene by Sheriff Whittaker, Sergeant Shaun Embry and Adairville Police Chief Roger Lindsey.

Long is lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.
