Because of recent success of the Hay Bale Trail held in the fall, the Logan County Tourist & Convention Commission proudly presents the first annual Trail of Christmas Lights Around Logan County.

“So much excitement surrounded the Hay Bale Trail in our community over the last two years. This holiday event is just another way to show those who live and visit Logan County that we have a lot to offer,” said Dee Dee Brown, Executive Director of Logan County Tourism.

Brown added that the Hay Bale and Christmas Lights Trails help bring people out to see the beautiful areas of Logan County. Both those who live here and those who visit.

“We hope for continued support for the Trail Christmas Lights event,” said Brown. “Tourism is always looking for ways to promote Logan County and all of its rich history and friendly citizens.”

If you would like to participate in the First Annual Trail of Christmas Lights Around Logan County, you can either visit the tourism Facebook Page or its website at and download an register form. You can also pick one up at the tourism office, located on the first floor of the historic Logan County Courthouse. All you have to do then is email the form and a photo of your outdoor Christmas light display to or drop it at the office. Contest entry deadline is Friday, Dec. 8.

“The trail will be unveiled on the tourism Facebook Page and on our website,” said Brown. “The public will be then be able to vote for their favorite display, similar to the Hay Bale Trail Contest. Winners will be announced later in the month.”

Categories will include: businesses, churches, schools and individual homes.
