The Russellville Police Department wants to inform citizens of a video that is circulating on social media depicting a child performing a sex act on an adult male. Chief Victor Shifflett advises citizens not to share or view it.

"The Russellville Police Department has received confirmation from the FBI that the video originated outside of the state of Kentucky and is currently being investigated by Federal authorities. We would like to remind anyone who receives this video via messaging or any other electronic means to delete it immediately, as possessing child pornography is a crime," said Shifflett.

An arrest in connection to the video has been made on an Alabama man, Germaine Moore, 44, who is accused of forcing a young girl to perform oral sex on him, an act that was recorded on video and widely shared on Facebook over the weekend.

Moore turned himself into the Millbrook Police Department Tuesday, Feb. 6. according to Central Alabama Crimestoppers. He is being charged with sexual assault of a child, distribution of a video depicting the assault and first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

"Investigators were made aware over the past several days of the video," said Shifflett. "We understand this video has been shared many times here in the Logan County as well as in the Bowling Green area at this time. The Russellville Police Department wants people to stop sharing the video."

In the video tagline, it reads in part "please share…get justice for the victim."

By sharing this video and sending it to others, you are committing a class D felony (KRS 531.340--Distribution of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor).

The Russellville Police Department does not need to be notified anymore about this video as the appropriate authorities have been contacted and an investigation is being conducted.
