The American Legion Post 29 will have a Veterans Day Service today at 11 a.m. at the Legion Memorial Park on Hopkinsville Road. Refreshments will be served at the post home following the service.

Customer Appreciation Day

The 1st Anniversary & Customer Appreciation Day will be held at Carriage House Vineyard & Winery, 259 Longview Dr., Auburn on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Benefit for Mindy Eberlin

There will be a benefit for Mindy Eberlin today at 5 p.m. at the Auburn Senior Center to help with travel and medical expenses for her cancer treatment. There will be a chili supper, cakewalk and auction.

Comic Book & Toy Show

A Comic Book & Toy Show will be held Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Sportsmen’s Club in the Russellville City/County Park from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Mistletoe Market

The Mistletoe Market will be held at the Logan County Extension Coop, 255 John Paul Rd., from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Come Write In at the Library

Are you participating in National Novel Writing Month? Bring a laptop (or notebook) and join us for a few hours of support and writing with your fellow WriMos. There will be a Fish Fry at the West Kentucky African American Museum today at noon and sponsored by Bank Street a.m.E. Zion Church. Fish plates are $7.50 and sandwiches are $5.

Bank Street a.m.E. Zion Church will be ovserving their Women and Men’s Day today The morning speaker will be Margaret Mena of Freedom Church International at 11 a.m. and the afternoon speaker will be Rev. Ford Husky of Powerhouse Ministries in Bowling Green at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. at KP Hall.

Help with Medicare at the Auburn Senior Center

On Thursday, Nov. 14 from 9:30-11:30 a.m., Avery Casey from Bankers Life will present a complimentary seminar describing Medicare Supplement insurance policies and Medicare Parts A and B benefits- what is and isn’t covered at the Auburn Senior Center.

Christmas Open House Downtown

Ladies and gentlemen, it is almost that time of year. The Logan County Chamber of Commerce would love to see you at the Christmas Open House Downtown on Nov. 19 from 1-5 p.m. Come out and enjoy the spirit of the season with shopping, refreshments, music, and more from local businesses. Downtown merchants in Russellville will be decorated for the season and open to the public for Christmas cheer. Programs with a listing of all participating businesses and a map will be provided to the public on this day. Help with Medicare at the Auburn Senior Center

On Tuesday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Kentucky Legal Aid Benefits Counselors will be on hand to help at the Auburn Senior Center to anyone who has Medicare, with an evaluation, comparison of plans or list of available plans offered for the coming year. They will be able to assist you in what is new and different for the benefit period and can enroll you onsite if you desire. They will be able to answer questions, help with the applications and provide information.
