Tony R. Hunter

Tony R. Hunter, 24, of 411 Townsend Avenue, Adairville, was indicted Jan. 26 on four counts of first-degree sodomy (victim under 12 years of age), two counts of first-degree sexual abuse (victim under 12 years of age) and second-degree persistent felony offender.

This is the second indictment towards Hunter concerning the same case. He was previously indicted on charges of intimidating a participant in the legal process when he used physical force and threatened his mother to prevent her from reporting a criminal allegation against him. He was also indicted for being a persistent felony offender.

According to Hunter's most recent indictment:

On or between the 1st day of January 2014 and the 31st day of October 2017, Hunter knowingly and unlawfully committed sodomy in the first degree by engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion, or with another person who is incapable of consent because they are less than 12-years-old, when he had them perform oral sex on him.

On or between the 20th day of September 2017, Hunter knowingly and unlawfully committed sodomy in the first degree by engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion, or with another person who is incapable of consent because they are less than 12-years-old, when he had an eight-year-old perform oral sex on him.

On or between the 1st day of January 2014 and the 31st day of October 2017, Hunter knowingly and unlawfully committed the offense of sexual abuse in the first degree when he subjected another person to sexual contact who is incapable of consent because they are less than 12-years-old, when he fondled them.

On or between the 20th day of September 2017, Hunter knowingly and unlawfully committed the offense of sexual abuse in the first degree when he subjected another person to sexual contact who is incapable of consent because they are less than 12-years-old, when he touched a five-year-old on their private areas.

Hunter is also being indicted once again for being a persistent felony offender for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and manufacturing methamphetamine.
