Firefighters from three departments helped each other put out a house fire in Auburn over the weekend.

Auburn's City and Rural Fire Departments responded to a report of a structure fire located at 506 Echo Valley Road, Auburn on Friday, May 11.

Upon arrival, units found fire coming out of the side of the home which had already vented through the roof.

The day was hot, which made fighting the fire even hotter.

Units from the Russellville Rural Fire Department and the Russellville City Fire Department were dispatched through mutual aid for additional help.

all three departments working together.

No one was home at the time of the fire. The home was a complete loss.

"I want to thank all responders for their assistance," said Jeff Gregory, Fire Chief of the Auburn City Fire Department and the Assistant Chief of the Auburn Rural Fire Department. "It was a very warm day."

Units were on scene for approximately three hours.

"We do not know what started this fire, but nothing looks suspicious," said Gregory.
